Activate your licence

Thanks for subscribing to Charter. Your licence key is on its way by email — here is how to switch it on.

Three steps

From payment to full access

This takes about a minute, and you only do it once per Azure DevOps organisation.

  1. Check your email for the licence key

    Polar emails the key to the address you paid with, right after the payment goes through. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

  2. Open Charter’s settings in Azure DevOps

    In your Azure DevOps organisation, open Charter, go to its extension settings, and find the License section.

  3. Paste the key and select Activate

    Paste the key into the licence field and select Activate. Your tier takes effect for everyone in the organisation — nothing to install, and any tabs already open pick it up on the next refresh.

Bought by invoice rather than by card? Your key comes directly from us by email instead of from Polar — steps two and three are exactly the same.

If something is wrong

No key, or it will not activate?

Tell us the email address you paid with and we will sort it out. We do not need your licence key or any account credentials to find your subscription.
